MENTAL PRESENCE & MEDITATION (8 WEEK COURSE)
WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE LIVING?
Sometimes, to survive our life choices, we leave behind a part of us (either our Mind, our Body or our Spirit). This results in toxic relationships, careers we hate, projects we don't want to be part of, obesity, depression, cancer, etc. This is because when we leave a part of us behind, we become DIS-INTEGRATED.
Life does not come with a manual. So, we all do "the best with what we have" and certainly come short of our true potential. The Integrative Living model is that manual we all need to change our ways. It calls our attention to our actions and attitudes, instead of impractical and obscure concepts and philosophies that reinforce the separation of Mind, Body and Spirit. Focusing on the "6 fields of Human Endeavor" you can structure your day-to-day to ensure that every part of you is taken care of organically and honestly: in line with your Goals, Values and Lifestyle.
Integrative Living is a workshop series created by Donato Helbling. It is a collection of effective technologies and techniques that helped him improve his life and empowered his coaching clients overcome their personal limitations. This 8 week course is aimed to give people the tools to understand how to re-integrate their living experience and finally be able to live the happy, sustainable and fully expressed life they desire and deserve. Lessons are taught in an interactive group lecture and are reinforced by a regular personal practice. While we will cover the whole system in the course and the main practice will be meditation, the practice of developing mental presence.
This course is for those who want change in their lives and have been thinking about taking up meditation, but don't know where to start or are not sure if meditation is really for them. We will cover different techniques of seated silent meditation so that you can build a solid practice that fits into a busy lifestyle. Bring all your meditation questions and Donato will be happy to answer them...

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THIS COURSE?
Practical tools to live a happy, sustainable and fully expressed life: one that is a true reflection of who you are. Don't know who you are yet? This course will help you figure this out. You will also meet like minded people that will be invested in your personal growth.
WHAT WILL THE SESSIONS BE LIKE?
Each of the 8 sessions will start with a class on one of the 6 "Fields of Human Endeavor" that make up the IL model. The first session will be an intro to the model as a whole and the last a review of lessons learned and a group share of experiences. Each will be followed by a group meditation to experiment with the new meditation tool taught that day.
Donato is very fun to listen to and great at breaking down ideas in ways that everyone can understand. He is also a good listener and very intuitive and compassionate coach. During lectures he will ask you to evaluate many aspects of your life to see how to apply these new concepts. He will challenge you to look at what is causing dysfunction and guide you to a true understanding of how you got there and support you on how to move on.
WHAT STYLES OF MEDITATIONS ARE WE GOING TO COVER?
Donato focuses his practice on what he believes to be the simplest form of meditation: seated, silent meditation. He does not use mantras, or visualization techniques, However he will be using techniques from different schools like Japaneze Zen, Mindfulness and QuiGong, to help you build the foundation of your practice.
IS THERE HOMEWORK?
Yes! You go home with new techniques to apply to your life right away. Your homework is to become observant and to experiment like a scientist, writing in your journal any findings and questions that may come. Also, every week you will get a new 20 minute guided meditation recording to support the growth of your practice, which you can do daily or every other day (up to you).
WILL I GET PERSONALIZED ATTENTION? OR IS IT ONLY IN GROUP?
While most of this course is in group it includes a 75 minute private Integrative Living coaching session with Donato. You will schedule this during the last 2 weeks of the course, once you know each other a bit and that you are familiar with the model. In this session you will get to review your work and get the extra help you may need to break through any limitations keeping you from the life you want.
I ALREADY HAVE A MEDITATION PRACTICE. SHOULD I TAKE THIS COURSE?
Yes! First of all, this is not purely a meditation course. Meditation is used as the tool/practice to develop Mental Presence, which is key to noticing what is really happening in your life, so you can change. Secondly, when are you ever done learning how to meditate?
IF I NEED TO MISS CLASS, CAN I MAKE IT UP?
Kind of. All classes will be filmed and posted online with private access to the group, so you can see what you missed. If you have questions after class, Donato will be happy to set up time with you to discuss, provided that you gave proper notice of your absence.
I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS! IS THERE A FREE INTRO SESSION?
YES! The first class IS a free intro session! Bring your questions and bring some friends that may be into it. It's going to be fun!
· Price is reduced, since this is the first time we are hosting this as a public online workshop. You will be part of the pioneering group of Integrative Living Artists.
· We will be going over people's "stuff" (including yours). So we ask that everything discussed stays in the group. This agreement will help everyone trust and share their experiences freely, which will help everyone grow.
· This being said, we will be recording the sessions to make them available online and may be used for future courses. Even though your voice will show in the videos, your face or name will not be included.
· Bring: comfortable clothes, snacks, if you need/want them, and an open mind.
· How to prepare for the event: think about what you want to change in your life and what is not working. We will tackle these hard.
· Phones OFF during the course (unless you are on-call for work or you have a really good excuse, which convinced Donato to let you have it on)
· You will be provided with a journal so you can take notes (old school)
