— BREATH WORK —

Daily guided Wim Hof Method Breathwork sessions to "get high on our own supply" of the most pure air, and to boost our bodies into this Integrative Wellness Experience. Learn these science-backed techniques of taking control of your autonomic nervous system and heal, distress and reset!

— COLD EXPOSURE —

We finish the Winter by spending lots of time outdoors (hiking shirtless, if you are ready!) and swimming in cold, crystaline waters of the creeks, rivers and WATERFALLS of Western NC. At this time of the year the ice melts and giving us the coldest water! And, yes, we'll have a good old Ice Bath at the House.

— HIKES & TIME IN NATURE —

Daily movement outdoors, taking time to reconnect with your inner nature by surrounding yourself with the beutiful scenic landscapes of the mountains of Western North Carolina.

— PROPER NUTRITION —

Awesome, healthy, home-cooked, family-style breakfasts and dinners, as well as picnic lunches in the coolest local spots in the area. Plenty snacks available while we hike too!

— FUN! —

Games, and plenty of play and hang time with the Miami Ice Club Crew. Because a Wellness Retreat that doens't have FUN planned into it is just... no fun!

— REST & RELAXATION —

We will wake up early and do a lot. But we will also chill hard!
Spend time in the hot tub, sitting on the balcony taking in the views or take a nap...

DAY 1:

Thursday 2/20

- Meet at AVL airport 1PM (see flight suggestions in FAQs)

- AVL Airport to Lodge transfer (via van or rent your own car)

- Lunch stop in Asheville and Intro to Retreat

- Check in at Tatonka Lodge 4 PM

- Wim Hof Method / IL Workshop

- Drive to EPIC Hike to river/creek/waterfall

* Itinerary is subject to change due to weather, trail availability, and any other safety considerations that may arise with the group and location. Be ready to go with the flow, or you just won't fit in with the vibe of the retreat.

* NOTE that the hikes will require a decent level of physical fitness and that we will be getting in COLD water, but all activities are optional and the crew iwill help stay safe and is always happy to support you in this awesome experience, no matter what!

About your Teacher & Guide

Donato Helbling

An Engineer turned Black Belt Martial Artist, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Donato has been one of the leaders of the Wellness scene in Miami since 2005, and has now turned the tropical city of Miami into the unlikely mecca for training the Wim Hof Method.

Donato’s passion for teaching and coaching are refreshing in today’s spiritual world. His style is witty, sharp, intelligent, highly technical and creative, while remaining fun, relatable and down-to-earth. His Integrative Living approach to being happy and healthy, combined with the techniques he learned directly from Wim Hof himself, have given him the opportunity to teach worldwide and to support the wellness journey of people of all walks of life.

He loves the outdoors and is building Six Fields, a wellness resort and village in the Mountains of North Carolina to share this beautiful land and the Integrative Living way of life with everyone. Donato is also an entrepreneur, founder of a few tech startups, consultant to high-end wellness hospitality brands, and personal and corporate coach.

Where are we staying?

Tatonka Lodge, in Fines Creek, North Carolina

This 4 bedroom hand-built log cabin, part of a family-owned Buffalo Farm, provides ample space for our group of 10 guests and will be our home base for the experience.

Breathwork in the Mountains

Take in the sunrise and get the day started right with powerful breathwork sessions fueled by the pure mountain air.

Proper Nutrition, family style

We will share every meal, which will be prepared from scratch with local ingredients (even Bison from the farm!). We'll use this time to connect and bond with the group at the Lodge. We will also visit Donato's favorite local spots while we are exploring the area.

 

Fun, Rest and Relaxation

We'll spend evenings together sharing stories while roasting marshmallows around the firepit, laughing and playing in the game room, and chilling in the hot tub.

FAQs

What is included and not included in the price?

Before you book:

- 20 min on-on-one phone call with Donato to see if you are a good fit for the retreat / the retreat a good fit for you and to cover the gear needed for you to bring on the trip.

Included in Your Booking:

- Group orientation Zoom call the week before (Weds 11/29 7-745PM)
- Lodging in the House (in private or shared room, depending on your booking)
- Transportation to/from airport (unless you choose to rent your car/drive yourself)
- All practice sessions and activities
- Some essential gear needed for safe hiking (to be covered in orientation call)
- Plenty of food and hydration:
- All nourishing meals at the house or during hikes prepared by the crew (you can help cook! or clean! or not, if you just wanna chill)
- Snacks for the hikes.
- We will accommodate reasonable food restriction requests (tell Donato on your call)

Not Included:

- Airfare to/from AVL
- Your rental or gas if you choose to drive yourself instead of riding in the van.
- 1 Off-site meal at restaurant/cafe/brewery (you’ll order your meal and pay your own bill)
- Your own snacks that you may bring
- Alcoholic beverages and other party favors you may want to indulge in

I am a vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, Keto, carnivore, or another dietary protocol... Will there be food for me?

The retreat will serve healthy, non-processed, mostly gluten free, food.

We will serve animal protein, vegetables and fruits, all included (and plenty of it), served family-style, but not mixed up, so you can choose what to eat and what not to eat.

If you don't eat meat, we will have plenty veggies and fruit, rice and beans, etc... We will not serve plant-based meat substitutes, unless someone requests it.

We love you no matter what and we will accommodate for you, within reason, this may or may not incurr and extra cost, depending on your request.

What's the Schedule gonna be like?

We will try to take advantage of the shorter days, so we will get up do Breathwork for the Sunrise around 730am and stay out exploring until sunset at 530pm to then head back to the house.

What flights do you recommend taking?

BOOK DIRECT FLIGHTS INTO ASHEVILLE AIRPORT (AVL)! Unless you absolutely have avoid connecting flights. There's lots of delays to/from this airport.

I can't come for the whole thing? Can I arrive late/leave early?

Sure, life gets in the way sometimes, we get it! Just let Donato know during your call.

Please, understand that you will be taking up the space of a person who would come for the whole experience, therefore NO DISCOUNTS can be given if you choose to come/leave outside of the retreat schedule.

Also you will have to arrange your own transport / rent car / take Uber to meet the group.
